Trish took advantage of a pass on both Saturday and Sunday to go home for visits during the day. She and Scott spent most of Saturday at home together, and on Sunday they were joined by Parker & Hunter. These visits help Trish begin the process of returning home full time and also help her understand how she will be able to function out of the hospital envirnoment.
This week the Barrows therapists will be visiting Trish & Scott's home in Queen Creek to help with an evaluation of the changes they will need to make. The biggest challenge will be the stairway that leads to the bedrooms and master bath on the second floor. We are looking at companies that sell stair lifts to enable Trish to move between floors with a minimum of assistance.
Now that a month has passed since the accident, Trish continues to heal from her surgery, and she continues to gain confidence in her ability to handle her body. At times she does get down as she contemplates the big changes in her life, but her true spirit always shines through. That beautiful smile is always there and she manages to pull through the rough times.
Trish & Scott very much appreciate all the support they have been given by both family and friends. They are beginning to look at the new medical expenses and home modification costs and they very much appreciate the financial support that has begun to accumulate. Please keep the prayers, messages, cards, and support coming.
More later this week ...

Trish,
You and your family are in my prayers. Your fighting spirit is beautiful and admirable. The daily updates are appreciated, and allow us to know what to specifically pray for. Please thank your dad.

Hi Trish, it's Kathy Hawthorne. I have been away and not able to access the internet so I really had to catch up on all the news. I am happy that you are able to visit home and be with the boys. I called your mom and talked with her but wasn't able to talk to the boys. It sounds like you are getting stronger each day. I hope that when you get settled into a routine that maybe you can spend some time in my room when you are ready. I would love to have you as much as you want to be there and I know Hunter would probably enjoy that too! Well talk to you soon. Kathy Hawthorne
Hi Trish,
I am so happy at the progress you are making. I know it gets frustrating as you face different challenges each day. But just remember you have God on your side and He only gives you what you can
handle. You are in my prayers daily as the Lord continues to heal your body. Ethan prayers for you as well and asks about you often. When you are up to it, I hope to come visit with Sandi sometime.
Much love and prayers,
Jane Fisher
Hi Trish,
I wish you the best in your recovery. I'm glad you were able to get home again to be with Scott and the boys.
Hang in there, it must be tough, but we all believe in you!
Love,
Dave
