New Phase Begins

After four full days at home, Trish began her next phase of therapy yesterday at St. Joseph's Hospital's out-patient neuro rehabilitation facility in Phoenix. Scott reported that the atmosphere there was very positive and that Trish reacted very well to her first day.

Her two therapists expected quite a bit from her and acted more like "you can do that yourself". Both Trish & Scott think that this approach will help her progress more rapidly toward the true independence she seeks. Trish will be going to this therapy twice a week for 2-3 hours each day for as much as six months.

Hey Buddy, I'm doing cartwheels (in my head) for you, knowing you're home. Sometimes it may seem hard and unbearable, but just think how far you've come and what you've accomplished. No one but you has accomplished that, and you are capable to achieve much more. All we do as your friends, family and loved ones, is cheer you on from the sidelines. We remind you of how your strength, determination, stubborness and independence can help you achieve every goal you set for yourself. It may not seem like it, but you are a blessed woman Trish, you have 2 wonderful kids, an amazingly loving, patient and dedicated husband; a great family and an abundance of friends, all of whom love you dearly. You have been a friend for many years, and now you're an inspiration to me. You keep on going and never give up. Thank you.
Love you bunches, Renita

Hi, Trish,

We are all so glad to hear that you are home and doing so well. Keep up the great positive attitude and remember that we are all here for you. I wanted to tell you that Taelor was actually suppose to be in another 3rd grade class but, was so upset that we got her moved to your class even though she knows you won't be there at first! We all hope to see you very soon at Brisas!! You are a very amazing woman - keep up the hard work and enjoy being at home with the rest of your family!
Thinking of you, Tammy & Taelor Etherton
